Fun Friday: Seven Laurels Match Game
April 15, 2011
The following game was used by my neighborhood book club, Readers in the Hood, to help celebrate a fabulous book, Seven Laurels, by Linda Busby Parker. Beautifully written, this award-winning book chronicles one man’s quiet struggle for civil rights, while just keeping his head down, working hard and trying to take care of his family. It’s a beautiful story of hope that any book club would love. Have fun playing the game (Seven.Laurels.Match), as well!
Cheers!

Marsha, our club loved reading this book and interviewing Linda Busby Parker as one of our first SKYPE author chats.
Seven Laurels tells the extraordinary story of ordinary people who wanted to do the right thing.
Great Match Game you’ve done also!

Kay: She is such a skilled writer! She must’ve been a great SKYPE “visitor”. I missed her at PWQ this year—hope she comes back next year! Cheers!
Marsha, I love how you find themes that pull together so many books, written from so many vantages. Who knew trees had a “part” in so many! Thanks for the great and thought-provoking game. (teehee – I’d rather play this than the usual match game at the next bridal or baby shower I attend.)
Janet: Glad you liked it–now I guess I need to come up with an animal book game for you! Cheers! BCC
